Carol Evelyn Adjokor Annang is a seasoned executive with over two decades of senior leadership experience spanning investment banking, pensions administration, enterprise development, and media management. She is recognised for driving business transformation, strengthening governance systems, and leading organisations through strategic growth.
Her investment and capital markets expertise was forged during 17 years at New World Securities Limited, where she rose to CEO. She established and managed investment funds for private and public entities across Ghana and the diaspora, was instrumental in creating the Teachers Fund (now the largest employee-contributory savings scheme for Ghana National Association of Teachers members), and led major capital market transactions including bond issuances for PBC Ltd and Ecobank Ghana.
As Managing Director of Secure Pensions Trust Limited, Carol expanded operations into three additional regions and grew contributions by over GHS 7 million within 17 months, deepening her expertise in long-term fund management, risk oversight, and member-focused governance.
Carol currently serves as Country Director of Invest In Africa, leading enterprise development initiatives that support MSMEs, strengthen local supply chains, and facilitate cross-border business collaboration through high-level stakeholder engagement and government relations.
Her leadership extends to the media sector, where as Managing Director of the New Times Corporation she rebranded the Ghanaian Times, digitised pre-production processes, and launched new digital platforms, demonstrating her capacity to modernise legacy institutions.
She serves on the Board of Supply Chain Finance PLC and is a long-standing member of the Business Conduct Committee of the Central Securities Depository, contributing to market integrity and governance within Ghana's capital markets.
Carol holds an MBA in Marketing and a BSc in Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has completed advanced training in capital markets, bond structuring, portfolio management, and leadership with UNITAR, Euromoney, the Ghana Stock Exchange, and the National University of Singapore.
