Savannah Impact Advisory (SIA) is a highly specialized investment advisory firm with specific focus on fund structuring, Venture Capital / Private Equity (VC/PE), and Fund of Funds (FoF) management with an impact and gender lens approach.
Through its fund structuring, investment advisory, and ecosystem-building work, SIA partners with investors, DFIs, and development partners to unlock blended finance and strengthen businesses that deliver measurable social and environmental outcomes.
The Technical Assistance (TA) Facility is a key component of SIA's blended investment approach, designed to provide targeted, high-quality technical support that enhances the governance, reporting, and impact systems of investee funds and their portfolio companies.
Role Summary
The Technical Assistance Facility Manager will lead the implementation and management of SIA's Technical Assistance Facility across its investment and advisory platforms. The role will ensure that TA interventions effectively address the operational, strategic, and impact needs of investee funds and their companies, while meeting donor and investor expectations for transparency, accountability, and measurable results.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy and Program Design
Lead the design and implementation of the overall TA Facility strategy aligned with SIA's investment and impact objectives.
Develop thematic areas of support, including governance, finance, ESG, gender inclusion, digitalization, and climate resilience.
Design tailored TA packages for portfolio and pipeline companies based on diagnostics and investment assessments.
Ensure alignment between TA interventions, investment readiness goals, and impact outcomes.
Facility Management and Operations
Oversee all operational aspects of the TA Facility, including work planning, budgeting, and procurement.
Establish and manage clear processes for identifying, approving, and implementing TA support.
Recruit, contract, and supervise consultants and service providers to deliver high-quality TA.
Monitor TA project progress, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Coordination with Investment and Advisory Teams
Work closely with SIA's investment team to identify and prioritize TA needs emerging from due diligence and portfolio reviews.
Collaborate with the advisory team to design cross-cutting ecosystem or sector-level TA programs.
Provide feedback loops from TA delivery to inform investment strategy and pipeline development.
Donor and Partner Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison for development partners and donors funding TA activities.
Manage donor agreements, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Develop proposals and mobilize additional funding to expand TA activities.
Cultivate partnerships with technical institutions, accelerators, and sector experts.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)
Develop and implement a MEL framework to track TA outputs, outcomes, and impact.
Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to strengthen future TA design.
Support SIA's broader impact reporting through integration of TA performance data.
Know How & Experience
Master's degree in Development Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience managing technical assistance, enterprise support, or donor-funded programs.
Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of capacity-building interventions for funds and SMEs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Familiarity with blended finance structures and the intersection of grant and investment capital.
Proven experience working with development partners, DFIs, and philanthropic funders.
Strong understanding of ESG, gender-lens investing, and impact measurement principles.
Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
