Nana Afoah Appiah-Korang is a seasoned private equity executive with significant investing experience across Africa, spanning deal origination, execution, portfolio management, exits, and fundraising.
Nana served as Director and Senior Investment Professional at Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), one of the largest Africa-focused private equity firms with $3 billion AUM, where she spent over 16 years covering the continent. She began her career at Goldman Sachs, working in real estate private equity before pivoting to African markets.
She currently serves on the boards of Vanguard Assurance Ghana, New Africa Fund (Australia/Kenya), and Growth Investment Partners Ghana. She has also served as Senior Consultant to the African Development Bank and the Development Bank of Ghana, and previously sat on the inaugural board of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund.
She holds a BA in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA from the TRIUM Global Executive MBA programme (HEC Paris, LSE, and NYU Stern).
